Aluminum as a modern packaging material offers perfect features to protect goods. Aluminum is easy to shape, stable, light and protecting the filling food from both gas and light, it is heat resistant, hygienic and tasteless.
Additionally aluminum is useful regarding the later recycling as it can be reused endlessly without any quality loss and a 95% reduction of energy used comparing to primary aluminum production. Each recycled aluminum packaging will improve the life cycle assessment.
A large number of different activities from packaging manufacturers, associations, non-government organizations and national campaigns is showing excellent feedback and growing recycling rates.
